Impartiality is considered very important by Beyond Compliance members to ensure the integrity of the work we do. The surgeon members of the Beyond Compliance Advisory Group are not salaried employees and freely volunteer their time. The only payment they receive is reimbursement for travel expenses and subsistence.

  • No Royalties Smith and Nephew nor from any other company. 
  • No Research Grants from any Commercial source ever.
  • No Research Grants from other sources in the last 5 years.
  • I do not receive payment for work for ODEP or Beyond Compliance except inasmuch as I am often released from my NHS salaried work for committee work.
  • I may claim travelling expenses to attend ODEP and BC committee meetings in the future but have not hitherto done so.
