The PROFEMUR® Classic stems feature the same characteristics of the original modular stem designs, but have fixed necks. They are intended to be offered as a completion of the PROFEMUR® modular range, while providing an alternative to hospitals and surgeons. They come in standard (135° CCD angle) and extended (127° CCD angle) options, allowing re-creation of the most commonly implanted head centers available with the PROFEMUR® modular necks range. Furthermore, these Classic hips can be implanted with the same instrumentation as the predicate modular designs; reducing the need for additional instrument expenses and complexity.
