The UCP™ Stem is designed with clinically proven philosophies so as to reproduce the excellent outcomes seen with proven cemented stem systems including:
A cement friendly profile:
  • A mirror-polished surface with a tri-tapered design increases torsional stability whilst reducing shear stress on the cement
  • CoCrMo material provides strong fatigue strength

Facilitates restoration of joint biomechanics and stability:
  • A collarless design with various insertion depth options allow surgeon to balance leg length with ease.
  • Offset variants and stem length options allow the surgeon to deal with a wide variety of clinical challenges
  • The high offset UCP™ Stem option restores normal ligamentous laxity by shifting the stem neck laterally; without having any influence on leg length

 

Ease of use

  • The UCP™ Stem’s 12/14 Morse taper is compatible with CoCrMo metal heads and BIOLOX delta ceramic heads accommodating surgeon preferences
  • The system also incorporates long revision stem options up to 230 mm for proximal bone loss cases[1].
