Having spent over thirty years in management positions within several global orthopaedic companies, including Zimmer, Accentus Medical and the Corin Group, Martin Pickford is now semi-retired but still doing consultancy work for Northgate PS who are the current contractor the British National Joint Registry, ODEP and Beyond Compliance. He is also a full member of the British Hip Society.

His role in all of these organisations is to provide expertise in total joint implant design and outcomes analysis of the hundreds of different brands available in the market.

 

Martin has no conflicts of interest in that he receives no remuneration from any device manufacturer, but still retains a small number of shares in Accentus Medical who provide different types of implant coatings to many orthopaedic suppliers.
