Impartiality is considered very important by Beyond Compliance members to ensure the integrity of the work we do. The surgeon members of the Beyond Compliance Advisory Group are not salaried employees and freely volunteer their time. The only payment they receive is reimbursement for travel expenses and subsistence.

  • Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon employed at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2006. With a special interest in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgery. 
  • Member of the British Hip Society, member of the British Orthopaedic Association.
  • Country Delegate for the European Bone and Joint Infection Society.
  • Author and co-author on numerous papers in general orthopaedics with a particular emphasis on hip and knee replacement

  • Speaker panel for Zimmer Biomet, DePuy Synthes and Corin
  • No royalties from any commercial company
  • No research grants from commercial organisations 
  • I do not receive payment for work for Beyond Compliance except in as much as I am often released from my NHS salaried work for committee work.
  • I may claim travelling expenses to attend BC committee meetings in the future but have not hitherto done so.
