C-Stem AMT Line Extension.

This system was built upon the clinical success of the original C-STEM Triple Taper Stabilised Hip and its unique triple tapered highly polished design.

Compared to the original C-STEM Triple Taper Stabilised Hip design, the functional intra-medullary geometry has been preserved and the extra-medullary geometry has been enhanced with a raised lateral shoulder for better visualisation. In addition, the original 9/10 taper was replaced with the 12/14 ARTICUL/EZE® mini-taper which provides the surgeon with increased versatility due to its compatibility with the extensive DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction femoral head and acetabular portfolio.

The C-stem AMT Triple Taper Stabilised Hip System was originally provided in a range of eight sizes, all of which are available in both standard and high-offset configurations. In order to provide a comprehensive implant sizes range, DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction have introduced ten additional stem sizes. The newly introduced sizes comprise four small stems, four long stems with extra-medullary geometry matched to the size 2 and 3 standard and high offset implants and two size 3 extra-long stems.
